I’m a 20th Century Fox?
My MIL belongs to an informal group of ladies who call themselves the 20th Century Club, after the start of the twentieth century, which is when the group began. They meet monthly, with individual members presenting items of educational and cultural interest. As it is my MIL’s turn to present, she has invited me in to speak about “internet stuff.” Now, talking to a bunch of septo, octo and nonageraians about the Interweb might intimidate some people, but not me! I taught my grandparents how to send and receive instant messages. This will be a piece of cake.
Speaking of cake, they do serve desserts at these events. Awesome.
I’ve decided to narrow down my topic to how Internet communication has influenced the way that political campaigns operate. It’s the presidential election season, and it’ll be fun to get the senior citizen perspective on the messy world of the Web and the even messier world of politics.
